Thangshan Nanhu Area is a post-industrial district with various environmental issues, including mining sinkage, garbage dump leakage, air and soil pollution, etc. The planning strategy follows a series of approaches - Segregation, Treatment, Release and Recovery. Together with upgrade of existing neighborhood and industry, the urban design targets to transform this post-industrial area into a vibrant district with stable ecology and strong economy.
