THE GRID PARKS

The Grid Parks address specific issues in downtown Melbourne, such as traffic congestion, open space scarcity, street tree health stresses and flooding. In 2050, with 25 times increase of public open spaces, the Grid Parks also provide a unique life experience where people are surrounded by grids of parks. The Grid Parks set a good example for those grid cities around the world where the old towns could turn into a grand park system. The Grid Park consist of three sub-systems: the Smart Grid, the Resilient Grid and the Cultural Grid. They perform independently while inter-connect with each other.
